Guidance/Pupil Support
Guidance
Each Principal Teacher of Guidance is responsible for the welfare of a large group of pupils and is also a member of a Subject Department.
The Guidance structure is based on a 3 House model and is as follows:
Culzean (Blue) - Jordan Flynn
Crossraguel (Red) - Gillian Donoghue
Cargill (Yellow) - Catherine Paterson
Guidance Staff are the best first contact if a parent wishes to address any questions regarding their child’s progress, behaviour or attendance.

The School Nurse
The School Nurse is a regular visitor to Carrick, holds a weekly surgery for pupils and assists with the Sex Education element of our Health Education Programme
Psychological Services
The services of our Educational Psychologist, Rosanna Mohammad, is available should parents in conjunction with Guidance Staff feel that contact would be beneficial to the child in question
Careers Service
At Carrick Academy we are well served by Skills Development Scotland and a schedule of interviews are timetabled throughout the session. Parents should feel free to make contact with our Careers Adviser - currently our Careers Adviser is Lynne Kermack.
