Parent Council
Carrick Academy Parent Council aims to work in partnership with Carrick Academy to create a welcoming school which is inclusive for all parents, pupils and the wider community. We develop and engage in activities which support the education and welfare of the pupils, and we represent the views of parents on their children’s education and welfare. We raise funds to help with this work, and to assist the school in offering opportunities, resources and events for the benefits of all the young people of Carrick Academy.
We meet regularly, and all parents/carers of pupils at the school are welcome to attend. The meetings provide a great opportunity to find out what is happening within the school, and give you the chance to be involved in decision making on issues that may impact on the education of your child. We have parents from across the catchement area covering all year groups.
Our committee office bearers for 2018/19 are:
Deirdre Cuthbertson – Chairperson
Jennifer Findlay – Vice-Chair
Shelley Baillie – Treasurer
Emma Broun – Secretary
We are always looking for new parents to get involved, and you can find more information on what we are up to by following us on Facebook: @carrickacademyparentcouncil. You can also email us at [email protected].
